LANDSCAPE USE
The Gatsby Gal has been bred to be smaller than other oakleaf Hydrangeas, making them accessible to many families with small modern yards. The impressively large conical flowers are just about full size, and produced in large numbers. The plants’ massive leaves make a statement year round, but really show off in fall: with a brilliant combination of crimson, orange and burgundy.
PRUNING
Very little necessary, for size and shape control any pruning should be done immediately after the spring bloom flush to avoid removal of the next years’ budding sites. Plants can also be cut to ground level to produce enormous lush leaves, but no flower production.

Needs good drainage and high hummus content, water regularly in drought conditions.
