Loropetalum ‘Cerise Charm’ or Chinese Fringe Flower
Loropetalum chinense ‘Kurobijin’
LANDSCAPE USE
A cute little evergreen shrub that has loads of fringed magenta flowers against deep maroon leaves, first in spring then sporadically in the fall. These are multi-use shrubs, working well in containers, as a loosely trimmed specimen, or as a hedge. This cultivar is considered a dwarf as the original species is capable of being three times its’ size.
PRUNING
These can be tip pinched throughout the growing season to encourage bushiness, especially when used as a low hedge. The shrub can also be pruned for size control during winter as it blooms on both old and new growth.
