‘Patti Faye’ Deodar Cedar
Cedrus deodora ‘Patti Faye’
LANDSCAPE USE
These lovely trees boast their blue grey needles and stately horizontal layered growth pattern; they are worthy of becoming a specimen tree. They are also perfect for a decorative background against similar cool color tones. In the south we often have trouble keeping coniferous specimens due to our heat, but that is no issue for this cultivar, as it was originally discovered in Mobile, Alabama.
PRUNING
Pruning should only be carried out to remove diseases or branches that rub against each other. Pruning may cause the tree to lose its’ distinctive and desirable layering.

A slow-release pelleted fertilizer like Botanic’s Best will keep cedars growing at their best.
